Your antivirus program looks most interesting.

I am looking for an alternative to McAfee which has become overly bloated in its latest version 11.

But reading these forums, I am aware that the current version of Nod32 will also be upgraded to a new version: 3.0.

Will this version also be bloated à la McAfee?

    Hi virkelie, welcome to Wilders.

This is Eset we are talking about, light as a feather, fast as a Cheetah and with the bite of a Lion ;) :D

    Cheers :D

    OK, thanks.

Hope you guys will prove right and that ESET will in fact avoid the temptation to become a bloatware product, as have the other antivirus companies.

    Hello,

The exact feature set and performance characteristics for NOD32 v3.0 have not been finalized so comparing it to a shipping product is not possible, however, ESET derives a competitive advantage from providing an anti-malware application which does not consume a great deal of system resources or impose a major performance penalty on host systems and it reasonable to assume ESET will continue to do so in future product releases.

    Regards,

~snip~ off topic comments removed ~ Blaclspear

In the end make your own choice, read some reviews, read OTHER BOARDS read OTHER SUBFORUMS, if you want unbiased decision do not ask for it in NOD32 forum.

And yes NOD32 V3 is not yet finalized so anything that's on the drawing board now can not be stated as representative of the real product in the end the product gets streamlined etc.

virkelie, I suggest you to trial it for 30 days to test it and first of all to set it as Blackspear suggested in his sticky thread. You'll love it.
