Please help me find an old thread

I'm looking for a particular thread from early-mid 2013 (I think) about choosing a VPN service. In it, there is a post about asking presales questions using multiple pseudonyms, and comparing the answers.

Search isn't helping much. There are too many long threads.

 

perhaps you should try Find all posts by mirimir when you click on your own account or enter the last remembered word youve entered and search that way , that should speed things up i recon

I'm trusting that whoever wrote that will speak up.

Even knowing the username would be enough.

 

Here's where Google can actually be of help. By using a special search operation ("site search") I sometimes get better search results than the search built into vBulletin. But using the phrase, "multiple pseudonyms" and drilled down to the past 12 months, here's the results...not many.

Maybe "multiple" and "pseudonyms" weren't used as an exact phrase?

As I recall, it was a relatively new member. He said the he contacted some VPNs using different email addresses, to compare responses. He didn't becessarily use the word "pseudonyms".

Are you taking the feedback in that thread for iVPN? If so, I can add to it.
I love them, but they have a few annoyances (non-technical) that I wonder why they don't fix.

 

I've written a "how to choose privacy-friendly VPNs" guide that iVPN will publish. But it's not about demonstrating how iVPN is better than others, or comparing VPNs more generally. I do discuss lessons from HideMyAss, EarthVPN and Proxy.sh, and mention a couple good VPNs that aren't in the 2013 TorrentFreak article.

If there are any issues that have come up for you with iVPN that are relevant to choosing VPNs, please share. Otherwise, just tell them, and I'm confident that you'll get an honest response.
