Let us finish the week on a high note. Behold, a short, happy article showcasing the numerous useful options and features of the Spectacle screenshot tool recntangular area capture mode, including drawing, text, colors, highlighter, eraser, arrows, unlimited undo, export settings, and so much more. Have fun. https://www.dedoimedo.com/computers/plasma-spectacle.html Cheers, Mrk
We use this small screenshot tool and recently updated. Tried it 2 years ago and never looked back. Unsure if it is Linux capable or not. But great on Windows. No border issues etc. https://github.com/henrypp/freeshooter
@EASTER, Free Shooter looks to be Windows only. @Mrkvonic, Regarding Spectacle, thanks for mentioning the option to toggle off the shadow effect is available in the version for Plasma 6. You first mentioned it in the first Plasma 6 review, including two screenshots that showed the "Include windows shadow" toggle. I guess I must've been too overwhelmed to notice, by all other details regarding Plasma 6. Thanks for mentioning it again in the latest Spectacle article. As this option to exclude the windows shadow is only in the new version for Plasma 6, it's still not available for Kubuntu 22.04 and 24.04. I use the simple Xfce4-screenshooter, with the option to use Shutter, or ksnip, as an alternative. But I understand why you like Spectacle's options.
