is it any good ? Yes, it is. Very good AFAIK ( even includes PGP DISK )

However be advised that it is no longer offered and is now considered somewhat illegal now that PGP Corporation has purchased PGP from NAI

Thanks for the info Mikey. I'm going to stay away from it. Somewhat illegal still get me in trouble.

PGP 6.5.8ckt's legal status hasn't changed since PGP Corp. acquired PGP from NAI. PGP 6.5.8ckt was always in a kind of legal grey zone. Imad (who builds the CKT versions) bases his version off the source code release from the PGP Intl 6.5.1 version, with his own customizations added in. Both NAI and PGP Corp. have in a sense turned a blind eye to the CKT versions. Whatever the case, I wouldn't recommend using CKT versions in a commercial environment, as doing so would invite attention from PGP Corp., which would undoubtedly insist on the purchase of a commercial PGP license.

Also, if you're going to advise folks that PGP 6.5.8ckt is considered "somewhat illegal," then might I suggest changing your PGP Installation Guide (http://pages.infinit.net/carbo1/pgpinstall.html) so that it doesn't use PGP 6.5.8ckt build 08 as the example PGP setup?

You know, I love sharing links with folks, but if you're simply going to do a copy and paste job from my web site here:

...you could at least give my page a nod.
