From PG3 help file Won't this allow a trojan/malicious program/rootkit to do it's thing? Thanks, Chris
Yes, If you are not sure you trust the source. EDIT: You should know that the programs you wish to install are safe by scanning them first with your AV AT. Most programs do not require that ProcessGuard is disabled, only those that bury themselves deep in the system or want to install driver services may need learning mode enabled. Large Windows patches may also be problematical. HTH Pilli
Hi, if your system is clean thanks to ProcessGuard, you can temporarly disable it if all that you download and install is windows updates or a _trusted_ program which can conflict. However I never disable it and I am fine too regards, gkweb.
If I always trusted the source would I need process guard? Just trying to learn more about it... Thanks, Chris
Yes, If only for the Cr*p that you can pick up just from browsing no matter how careful we think we are, with ProcessGuard you can see what each app is doing or want's to do, that in itself is quite a bonus. Just having Execution Protection is a big benefit to your security. Nothing is 100% perfect, this is especially true regarding human error Pilli
Thanks Pilli again! Man you should really get paid for this... Edit: You too gkweb. Just don't charge for your leaktest site
