    Hi,

If i get RegDefend, how do you recommend its install:

    a) disable PG un-tick Protection Enabled, install RegDefend
    b) Place PG in LM & install
    c) what ticks should be in place for RegDefend in:
    1. Protect this application from
    2. Authorize this application
    3. Other options for this application

Any other important info for these two kernel, ring 0 players, that I should know about.

    Thanks
    rico

PS ZoneAlarm 6 says it now ring 0. Geez! It's getting crowded down here!

just place PG in LM and after RegDefend starts up on the reboot check if any flags were added and remove LM.

  3. passing thru

    passing thru Guest

At the moment, my gss.exe (the new RD 2.0 executable) is set up in PG this way:

    -Protected from termination and modification
    -Authorized to modify and read
-Optionally allowed to Install Global Hooks and Install Drivers/Services

Letting RD install global hooks is merely to avoid PG alerts (triggered by Windows' AutoComplete feature) when exporting/saving RD groups.
