    Hi Don,

Thank you for your answer and for the link. I will read it and probably
try both to see which one is best on my system. :)

I have tried the 30 day trial version of Perfect Disk 7.0 and I am definitely purchasing this product. I find it really does the job, unlike the Purchase version of Executive Software's Diskkeeper Pro which in the beginning was a good program but as I used it over the past 10 months I found that my hard drive was defragging quickly and I had to do more and more defrags.

The ability for the drive to stay intact simply was not there.

For the heck of it 2 of my co-workers tried it out and it did the same thing. Thus it is going on the back burner.
I tried O and O defragger as well however I am very pleased with Perfect Disk 7, I have about 2 days left on my trial and for certain Raxco will be getting my money.

Just thought that I would add my comments for what their worth.
I find my computer simply much more peppy throughout and expecially at boot up.

    Good luck!!!

Hé Wills, thank you for the input, it's very appeciate. :)

I just downloaded the trial version of PerfectDisk. Had a small
problem of installation but Raxco Support Service help me out
    almost instantly.

Looking forward to test it. :)

I tried both recently, but went with Diskeeper. My basic assessment:
    • Both programs performed quite well, no compatibility or performance issues.
    • Minor preference for the PerfectDisk GUI, I thought Diskeeper was a tad wordy
    • Saw good pricing for Diskeeper Home at Provantage, this sacrifices some features. I was bad - DK Home was fine for the rest of the family, but I decided my PC absolutely needed all the features of DK Pro. There are advantages to placing the order...
    • Both DK Pro and DK Home seem to be working absolutely fine.
Bottom line, I didn't see an overwhelming feature to drive my preferences. Both programs worked great. My decision was driven by price and the fact that the differences in the performance of these two programs are quite minor for a typical user like myself. To squeeze the absolute maximum performance out of my PC, I would probably have gone with PerfectDisk.
