Hi

We are trying to download pdf's from this website "www.nhp.com.au/Page/Media/Catalogues-and-Literature/Catalogues"

If we "Save as" it downloads fine. If we click on the link it starts to download then stops.
I've tried it on Internet Explorer 9 on Windows 7 and Internet Explorer 8 on Windows XP. I've tried disabling protection and adding exceptions to the website and to adobe reader exe but still blocks the download.
We are running version 5 of Endpoint Antivirus. It worked fine on version 4.
I've tried version 9 and 10 of Adobe Reader. If you have Fast Web View turned on it crashes Internet Explorer, if you don't have it turned on it will stop so far through.
I tried it with Chrome and it loaded.
If i uninstall ESET and retry it works fine.

I've attached a screenshot of the ESET modules used.

I’ve found out which setting is doing this.

It is the Web Access Protection. If I either:

Disable “Enable application protocol content filtering” or

Disable “Enable HTTP protocol Checking” or

Select Internet Explorer under Excluded applications so that it isn’t scanned

Any of these settings allows the problem websites/PDF’s to download and open. Obviously we don’t want to disable any of those settings.

Have you also tried going into the browser's security settings and dropping the settings to Medium-low or Medium to see if that allows the download to go through as well?
