PcTool firewall question.

    Is the Pctools firewall any good? can it compare to KIS firewall, Comodo etc...



    Just curious it says it has smart updates? How can a firewall have signature updates?

    As for your question about the smart updates / signature updates. The "smart updates" is for updating the firewall as new functionality updates are released. Has nothing to do with "signature" updates (To My Knowledge).

    I believe it can if it has intrusion detection system, then it looks for certain patterns in traffic. The old Sygate Pro is an example that comes to mind, but I'm sure there are more firewalls that do this.

    I know Symantec and McAfee's respective firewalls do this also.
