PC hangs on cold start

    My PC hangs on cold start. Hangs at Verify DMI Pool Data.... Sometimes it hangs at CPU Model...

    This only occurs during cold start. If I reset the PC, it normally starts OK.

    I've read somewhere this could be due to motherboard problem. But since it only happens on cold start and not after I reset it (after hang), what could be the problem?

    How to solve? any advice?

    BTW, my Processor is AMD Athlon 1800+.

    Sometimes my pc hangs at boot when some USB device is attached, not just any USB device, but certain devices.
    If you have USB devices attached, try to boot with these devices disconnected,
