In my PayPal Notice of Policy Updates email it states

We may also evaluate your computer, mobile phone or other access device to identify any malicious software or activity.

Could someone extrapolate as to the meaning of this?

Moved Thread to this Forum for More Exposure.

PaylPal's Private Policy, under How we collect information about you, this is what it states (bold mine):

My computer doesn't send them other information than what the browser itself sends, so I don't see a real issue with this...

It leaves them legaly open to do shenanagins at anyones will and you agree to it. Is all I'm sayin.
*edit Just because it is not happening right at this moment does not mean they do not now have the legal authority to collect whatever information they want. Is what I get out of these messages.

My solution for this is to use a pre-paid credit card with only the amount on it that you want to purchase. Most vendors that accept PayPal also accept credit cards. If you're worried about what information they collect, forget PayPal. If they start losing enough users, maybe they'll change their policy.
