I recently learned that the bootable CD media I had made with my Acronis Partition Expert 2003 (version 292 with SnapAPI), would not detect my Seagate 200GB external USB 2.0 hard drive unless it was plugged into one of the primary USB ports on my motherboard.

I originally had it plugged into the USB Keyboard port, (since I use a PS2 keyboard), and it was never detected there. When I moved it to one of the regular motherboard USB 2.0 ports it was detected right off and copying and moving partitions worked just fine.

I decided to post this in case there are others like me who are still using Acronis Partition Expert 2003, who may have had a similar problem.

    Hope this helps someone. :)
