    Last night we resized two partitions. It told us to restart so we did. While it was restarting it performed the first partition resizing successfully, and started to resize the second, when an error message popped up and asked us to retry, or ignore the error. We tried to apply one or the other but there was no response from the computer (pressing R, I or A did nothing). It appeared that the computer was frozen so we manually restarted but it wouldn't allow us to reboot. It gets around half of the way through and then it simply stops and starts rebooting all over again. If you let it, it will just keep going in circles like this. We tried choosing the "last known good" option but no joy. It also won't allow us to start in "safe mode". I'm fairly sure that this all has to do with incorrect partition sizes or something related. How do we now correct this? Thank you.

    Hello AngelArs,

    Thank you for choosing Acronis Partition and Disk Managing Software.

    Please accept our apologies for your inconvenience and for the delay with the response. Could you please do the following?

    - Download the Acronis Report utility from http://www.acronis.com/files/support/AcronisReport.exe;
    - Run Acronis Report utility and select the "Create bootable floppy" option;
    - Insert a blank floppy disk in the floppy drive and proceed with creating the bootable diskette;
    - Boot the computer under consideration from this diskette and wait for report creation process to complete;
    - Send the 'report.txt' file from the floppy disk to support@acronis.com along with the link to this thread and indicate in the sunject that you want to contact Irina Shirokova. I will certainly try to help you.

    Thank you.

    We followed directions and removed GoBAck from the computer, but we had to do a quick format and reinstall of windows to get rid of GoBack completely. Now all we want to do is to recover as many files as we can with disk director. All of our partitions are still messed up and read as Primary. We get the error "Failed to read from the sector 729,050,305 of hard disk 1" when we run the emergency disks to partition or recover files. We cannot set any partition to Active. We cannot change what type of partition it is (fat32, NTFS, Ect.). Will this effect how disk director recovers the files, or should we format as NTFS and then try to recover the files?

    Our ONLY concern "right now" (because everything is so messed up from GoBack) is to recover as much as possible, move the recovered files to another computer or hard drive, and then we'll do a complete format and reinstall of Windows. What's the best way to now recover the files? Thanks.
