Hi, I'm having a similar problem. I use Firefox as my default. When I open SWB it tells me that IE has 230 items unprotected. My husband uses another pc on the same network, but defaults to IE - he has exactly the same problem - 230 items unprotected. We do not have site preferences checked in FF. Both PCs are Win XP.

I also have a laptop running Windows 7 and this does not happen on there.

I have uninstalled SWB and reinstalled, same problem.

All machines are running AVG Free 9.0 if that makes any difference.

Just a thought...do you have Spybot Search & Destroy installed on the affected systems as well? Spybot's immunizations have been known to interfere with SpywareBlaster's protection list in the past.
