    G.O.R.A. strikes again. Wait, right country, wrong genre. So it's Turkey all right, but we're talking Linux this time. Here's a long and enthusiastic review of Pardus 2011, covering live session, installation and daily use, KDE4 look and feel, Wireless connectivity, Kaptan desktop auto-configuration, multimedia - Flash, MP3 playback, programs, package management, stability, system resources, small problems, and more.

    P.S. You should definitely watch G.O.R.A.

    Cheers,

    Can you give some details on what's wrong? Is Kaffeine player installed? Under "Device Actions" it should be the default player for videos.

    Pardus is really a great kde distro. My only real beef with it was they included firefox beta which had some page loading problems. Everything else worked as it should and of course the theming looks beautiful.

    Kaffeine is installed but it says it needs codecs but I don't know how to do that so I'm back to windows 7 right now because I need to do something in a rush right now.

    If opensuse 11.4 review is good I'll try it again. :D
    if not... then I'll be back to Ubuntu or try Pardus :D

    @mack_guy911
    thanks.

    @MrkVonic

    But a tip is to run a Pisi/package manager update directly after the installation to recive all avaible software in Pardus. They have released two major upgrade/updating packages (a sort of servicepacks) since the release, so thats why its so important. Click at update at right like in this screenshot:

    http://cdn.unixmen.com/images/stories/linux/distros/pardus2011/Pardus-package-manager.png

    If you forgot that important step you not have acess to all avaible software.
    I have seen some so called "reviews" in Youtube where they dont do it.
    Then they search for applications and not find them.

    But its because of this.
