I have a parallel port hardware key for CMOS software that I need to run. The problem is that I have no parallel port on my new system; just USB and SATA. Is there any kind of adapter I can get that would allow me to use the hardware key through a USB port?

TigerDirect support recommended this one, but I just want a second opinion.

    Thanks.

I don't look for anything but a true parallel port to work...

Could not get an old printer to work in any other way, because of no true bidirectional communication and handshake...

Biostar is the last motherboard brand I could find that still had a parallel port.

A PCI card may work, but I have had conflicts on some newer motherboards.

Is the software company still in business ? Could you contact them ?

    Just my 2 cents...
