I just purchase PDB 10 Pro, but have not yet installed it.

Based on a review of another Paragon product, I would like to know if I backup to a USB external hard drive, will the USB HD be erased and/or formatted each time I do the backup, or at least the first time I do the backup? If so, is there any way to keep other data on the USB drive, or does Paragon hijack the entire drive for its own use?

No, making a backup will not erase your external hard drive. It will create an archived image file and place it on the external drive.

However, doing a hard disk or partition copy to your external drive will erase the existing data.
