How do we upgrade, is it automatic or will we have to manually uninstall/install new version?

Is this new anti-exploit feature somehow related to the ZeroVulnerabilityLab's ExplotShield? Considering same developer is working on both...

    It will upgrade automatically.
If you don't want to wait you can install new version on top of version 2.0.

Cheers, did the manual upgrade as I remember that when we went from 1.5 to 2 it kinda didn't work 'automatically'!

Great question, and I'm guessing yes.

I installed PCAV 2.0.1 5 days ago and so far no complaints. Maybe the scans could be faster.

Are there command line options so that I can use task scheduler to do daily optimized scans and/or weekly or monthly full scans?

Is it supposed to upgrade today because mine is still at 2.0.1.

I'll probably have to download over it.

Edit: That was weird. I uninstalled Panda to install version 2.1 and it upgraded me to the pro version with a license key. I clicked on the free download.

I was wrong. I don't have a license key but somehow ended up with the PRO version. o_O

    Wonder if this was intentional.

Possibily a 30-days key. What does the "about" tab says?

    Panda Cloud Antivirus PRO

    Version: 2.1.0

Then it gives me a license type but no license key. I'm not complaining, I'll take the PRO version. Only problem is I can't access the firewall since I have to enter a key and I don't know what it is.

Then you do not have the Pro version, just looks like it, the FW is only available in the Pro version.

Yeah that's strange. It said FREE the very first time I installed it. :doubt:

I don't get it though because why don't I have the ads if it's free? It's like a partial Pro version. o_O

No, I'm afraid nothing has surfaced to me yet. If we do, you will likely see a discussion on the PCAV forum or here at Wilders.

ExploitShield is a personal side project separate from the security firm and Panda's behavioral engine has a different approach. The team had promised improvements to the engine though, and the anti-exploit feature is another behavioral engine upgrade.

Loaded my test image, to check out Panda. Unpleasantly surprised by the meaningless marketing talk "all the work is done in the cloud" :ouch:

Next surprise: what is the thin red line between Panda and Adware/Scareware practises? :thumbd:
