Have you even tried the 1.9 Beta before sounding off against it?

Then get Avast or if you pay more get Norton. If you don't like it, don't play with it.

You make an good point iwod, I often ponder how many Synthetic Threads there are here at this Forum, however,
Your answer to the pending question is still at bay:

If you have then.....well.....you are entilted to your opinion and no one can argue the opposition, on the other hand,
if you never have installed and evaluated the software and are sounding off against it, then.....well.....you can
always replace the trjam seal of approval back on the cyber thought and be happy with what you got, because you know,
you never loose what you never had to start with.

    EDIT: spelling/grammar

I agree with Noob. Take things with a grain of salt and mine the thread for info that's relevant to you.

I didn't try the 2.0 Beta. Because i couldn't, however i did use 1.9 Beta which i dont think there are any major different comparing to 1.5 other then Firewall. Performance improvement were baked into 1.5 already.

Like i said, it is a very good AV. But i just think Avast does provide a better job in terms of free protection. Of coz this isn't a fire comparison since Avast is a complete suite.

And i dont see that many Symantec threads. There is one about 2012, there WAS one about 2011, and that is about it, others are dedicated to other Symantec related issues.
