is there no Panda Anti-Rootkit for Windows 7 available?
Nope it is not compatible with windows 7 have a look at here
Will Panda Anti-Rootkit be updated to be compatible with Windows 7?
how good is Panda Anti-Rootkit ?how is it compare to combofix or gmer?thanks
Yep, that is the problem when you run DefenseWall, it is hard to get nailed by a rootkit Seriously, I think the latter check more issues, only the good thing bout Panda was that it was quite effective AND easy to use. I can recal a test where it just ended after the gmer and icesword.
I favour sanitycheck anti-rootkit now http://www.resplendence.com/downloads it has a really easy to use noob mode with a clear report. On top of that it also offers an expert mode.
thanks kees the reason i ask is cause always my friends call me from time to time to fix their infected computers so i need to use a very efective tutorial and not just use mbam
That is the nice thing about sanity check, it is a tool which can be used by noobs and experts.
TIP: autoruns can be used to save a report and match this saved report with an actual scan. You can focus on differences in stead of working through a hijack log. other great tools are hitman pro and regrun.
cool thanks regrun?thanks
We are not updating Panda Anti-Rootkit for Vista/Win7. What we are doing is using the technology (with some impreved techniques) in a new free tool we plan to release during 2010
Thank you pbust
