Hi, The padlock only appeared when HTTPS webpages were loaded. But now it's there all the time. Am I missing something? Was this changed in recent updates? Best Wishes, Amit
I wish they'd just remove the padlock entirely. I know this isn't the current policy, but I do hope it changes as it seems redundant now.
We almost did, but had some push-back from users who were worried about thinking they were now not receiving their protection. Long term, I suspect it will be replaced with something else, but you could just hide the Webroot icon entirely in the meantime.
i actually like it myself. the reason is not because of me though its because of my clients who use it they feel it shows them its working so for people who dont know better this gives them assurance that wsa is doing what its supposed to. i agree a option to hide it or show it would be awesome. but please do not fully remove it.
There could be bugs or compatibility problems with new browser versions preventing the ID shield from working and without the padlock you would not notice it. @Joe Any news on this? http://community.webroot.com/t5/Ide...ed-SafeOnline-tab-in-systray-icon/idi-p/12246
No update yet, but we have a larger project brewing which will show more value than the old SafeOnline tab
