Outlook Express and Hotmail

I have been using OE for years without problems. Today I get an error message
0x8000CCC33.

So far I have been unable to determine what that means. I have found other error messages, but not one that ends with 33.
Any help?

PS I am considering installing Thunderbird as my email client. Any thoughts or experience? I have two Hotmail accounts.

I have DL and run that to no avail. I cannot get hotmail. Same on both computers. I also cannot get hotmail with Thunderbird.

I am sorry to bother you, and this is off subject...I feel bad and apologize in advance...I just see the private message function is off and wanted to get your opinion.
I see where you have advised many on the upgrading of a hard drive on a Dell Inspiron with the darn MediaDirect function.
I am about to embark on that journey and wanted to see if anything was new with regards to this operation.
