Outlook 2003 only opens in Safe Mode

I installed Smart Security on a PC with Outlook 2003 and XP Home--no problem. On another PC with XP Pro, Outlook 2003 only opened in Safe Mode. I tried reinstalling and repairing Outlook but it still crashed. There are no Startup items enabled in Outlook.

I finally gave up and uninstalled ESET from the XP Pro PC and went back to my original security app. Searched the Web for solutions but can't find anything. Any ideas on what's happening and how to resolve this? Thanks.

You may need to perform additional steps after uninstalling your original security application (manual removal program or set of instructions provided by the vendor, reset the TCP stack, etc.) before installing ESET Smart Security onto the system.
