    Although IE10 by default isn't vulnerable, the media backlash of things like this makes me wonder if Microsoft would risk plugin compatibility issues for the sake of security and turn on Enhanced Protected Mode by default.

    I guess we already have the answer to that as Windows 8 has RTM'd, but I haven't installed that version yet to know, my guess is it's off by default though. (At least it's forced on for the Metro version)

    Understood that the 2744842 Fix It does not require to be disabled prior to MS12-063 being applied. Some do and some do not. It really has no impact on the patch.
