    Hello,

i use Acronis OS Selector, Disk Director and True Image a long time.

So i have a some experience with multiple OS enviroment installation with OS Selector.

This weekend i configure my new PC build on the Gigabyte GA-AM78GM-S2H using two sata 1 TB disk from Samsung in a raid 1 configuration running WIN XP Pro SP 2 and latest patches.

I run the latest patches / updates of Disk Director 10 also

The raid 1 runs very well. I put out a disk to simulate an error an put it in again. I can even install WIN XP patches and reebot while the raid will be rebuild.

So now my problem is, that im unable to bring OS Selector to work.
    That is waht happens:
    - PC starts
    - OS Selector apperas on the screen
    - i choose the first partition with WIN XP in it
    - the screen is getting dark with a blinikng cursor in the upper left corner

I read "all" forums, all faq's but after two days, i cant find a solution.

    Has anybody any ideas?

    Greetings from Germany,
    Roland

    Hello everybody,

    no answer upto now.
The only answer i received was a very unsatisfying answer from Acronis, by just sending me a link to a microsoft support page where boot.ini is explained.

I dont think they read my mail and my report.txt.

So please, anybody out there who can help me.

    Greetings,
    Roland

Just to be clear, XP is showing up correctly in the OSS menu when you boot?

Can you post a screenshot of what DD (in Manual mode) shows for your drive?

Can you attach the BOOTWIZ.OSS file? It's in the hidden BOOTWIZ folder on the drive on which you installed OSS. (If not already done, you'll need to enabled viewing of hidden files and folders and unhide protected operating system files.) Make a copy and rename it to BOOTWIZ.TXT so you can attach it.

    Hello MudCrab,

    thnaks for your response.

Yes, its shown correctly in the OSS Menu.
    Menu is "popping up".
    You can "select" one partition/OS.
And OSS removes from the screen (as normal) but no windows appers, but just the small cursor in the upper left corner of a drak screen.

I will send you the files this evening (german time).

    Best regards,
    Roland
