    I am using TI8, build 786 on a Motorola MW-520 mobile data terminal running Win2000 professional, SP3.

I have been successful creating the Bootable Media on a SanDisk Cruzer Mini 128mb USB thumb drive.

The problem is whenever I try to boot from the SanDisk Cruzer Mini, I get the message "Operating System not found" and the computer stops right there.

I've tried creating the bootable media using both Full and Safe versions, and also in normal and safe windows mode.

Has anyone else heard of this problem ?

    :'(

Yes it does. I have no trouble booting from my usb cd burner or usb floppy, and my SanDisk does appear in the BIOS under Hard Drives.

I, too, am using TI8, but with a second hard drive attached to a ThinkPad using a Sabrent USB enclosure. The ThinkPad is dual-boot, Linux and XP.

After cloning, I swapped the drives and tried to boot, got "Operating System not found".

Do I need to do some fdisk /mbr magic? (And if so, how do I do that from XP, or do I do it from Linux, or does it matter?)

    Thanks,
    ...phsiii
