I started using Opera to check my POP (ISP) mail and other accounts.
It's been working well. No need for another mail checker program.
Anybody else using Opera to check mail?

I have been using Opera as my main browser and email client for years. I love it and would never use anything else.

I have used the browser for many years but never looked at the mail tab seriously. I figured that was for signing up for an Opera mail account.

So far it hasn't missed notifying me on any incoming mail.
I can't see using anything else either.

According to an Opera support page they do indirectly.
With Hotmail you need one of the third-party utilities listed in this support page.

I check my ISP Pop mail account with Opera.
I use it for gmail also, but I haven't tried that without setting up the mail checker to use my ISP Pop mail account.
Under Mail and Chat accounts I have gmail as a Pop type mail account.
    If that helps at all.
