Opera Backup

Opera Backup Professional 1.8.2.0 has been quarantined as a Win32/Filecoder.K trojan. I am unable to restore this installer from quarantine. I trust it is a false positive?

ESET Nod32 Antivirus 4.2.40.0

 

You can use any backup program and set it to backup just the files you need...

I understand your reply. However I choose to use the program I currently have and don't expect it to be Suddenly flagged as a trojan!

Any other answers forthcoming?

Just wanted to let you know that your program Opera backup is being flagged by Eset Nod32 v42.40.0 Antivirus as a Win32/Filecoder.K trojan.
I am using Opera Backup Professional 1.8.2 and tried to update to your latest release when it got flagged. I have submitted the file to Eset for analysis. Perhaps you should contact them?

Hello,

I downloaded the OperaBackup_2.0.1.1_Setup.exe file from CJCR-Software's on a computer runnning Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate Edition x64 with ESET Smart Security 4.2.40.0 installed and updated to virus signature database 5148.

I did not receive a report of a Win32/Filecoder.K trojan on the file. Can you please let me know what version of the virus signature database this was reported with, and if you still receive the report using the 5148 database?

Thank you. I just tried it again using the 5148 database and it downloaded perfectly. I had previously tried 8-9 times during the day and it was flagged each time. These were the previous 3 trys. Happy to have it rectified.
