Online radio compression question

    Most online radio stations are streaming at 320 kbps witch is lossy format, and i do understand it. But when it comes to sound quality they sound like it's streaming at 192 kbps or even lower. So what kind of compression are they using and how does it work?.

    Mostly they stream at 64kb/s
