Did you use a throwaway email address? Or maybe mistype it? I got mine within 60 sec using a gmail account.

    I know that Peter. ;)
I don't use disposable email address.
I was refering that people should write down e-mail address and password for reseting, as they were saying that they will use such services (you can see the discussions bellow and they weren't triggered by me).

It's made clear from Tallemu that disposable email is not an option, so those who wanted to use it, instead should use real email.

No problems here with my perception, but thanks anyway for the reply and the clarification for others who might still wonder.

With all due respect to Tall Emu and their generosity, I'm not interested in having Online Armor free or paid (I'm sure it is a great product), but since when a web based account is considered disposable? I've used my Gmail account for years for everything that is most important in my life, and trying desperately to get rid of my ISP account which is nothing but a spamhouse (some messages originating from it used to be bounced back by spam detectors on account of being black listed as a spamhouse).

On the other hand I have never had a single query addressing Gmail from all of the security companies which I have bought licenses from.

I didnt understand this myself. All I ever use is gmail from items I buy online or register online. Never had an issue, ever.
Have no idea what my ISP gave me as an email address because I never intend on using it,period.

huh? i used my gmail email for both giveaways (OA++ and previous OA Premium) without any problem... i dont think web emails are a problem, just the disposable web emails like from sites that provide disposable emails for that specific purpose.

Yes, I think there is a misunderstanding what "disposable email addresses" means.

IMHO it means this instant mail addresses for 10 minutes and stuff like that.
It should most likely just keep off simpletons from ordering 100 licenses with this kind of mail addresses to sell it later on.

    Cheers

I also think that there is a misunderstanding about what disposable means, and Tall Emu like many reputable companies is entitled to ask for something that really exists especially when giving out a free product.

you cannot "uninstall" the OA firewall part - you only can disable it!

the advanced mode shows (more) details, std not.

I'm sure you know more than me, but the options do say you may "completely remove the firewall by pressing the uninstall button."

If you click "Uninstall Firewall" and reboot, the TDI Helper Driver OAmon.sys and the OA Helper Driver oanet.sys will not be loaded anymore. This can be easily verified with a tool like DriverView.
So the OA FW is really uninstalled and the Windows FW will be activated automatically.

    Cheers

ah - now i see... well i never had a closer look to that button - it makes OA
for me obsolete and the rest of it can be replaced with other good software,
which does not expire after a year (or 2) ;)

Not sure I understand the logic here. You were saying you couldn't just uninstall the firewall. Now that you know you can, but don't have to, it makes the software obsolete. o_O?
