Short story. One of his kids put a password on HD in BIOS and then forgot. Now he is unable to boot and and no way to fix even he went to many PC guys/ shops etc.

Any free solution to bypass it?

    Thanks

Reset the bios? Take out the battery in the motherboard, leave for 20 minutes THEN PUT THE BATTERY BACK IN that should reset the BIOS.

If the above suggestion doesn't work, download xp live cd or vista live cd, and boot from it, then you can remove the password

If it is a HD password rather than a BIOS password, good luck.
