on the wife's laptop ridiculously long start up time

    anything i can do about this? i love the ess package but man ever since version 3 i can literally start her laptop and walk away come back maybe 5 min later and the eset splash on occasion still has not popped up yet but will soon after that?? i had one occasion that was nearing 10 min later. ive tried a few other suites and not had this problem?? what will cause this can i turn something of to stop this initial scan or whatever is causing this?? some one help?? thanks
