    Hello;

    I am using ESET NOD 3.0 Antivirus. When I disable the AV to install software, etc. it would really be nice if there was a notice that appeared somewhere on the monitor screen maybe in the lower right corner telling me that AV was disabled. There is a notice that appears for a few seconds then it fades away.

    It would be nice if the notice/warning remained on the screen so the user won't forget to turn AV back ON.

    Any thoughts??

    Thanks - have a great week!

    Doesn't the NOD32 icon change colour when you disable it?

    Mine turns bright red.

    It sure turns red. Why do you disable it anyway?

    As the OP said

    Some software posts a notice to disable the AV before continuing. Some people do it, some don't. I've even dealt with PCs where people have uninstalled the AV instead of just disabling it... :)

    Personally i don't bother to disable it and if it ever do there a bright red icon telling it's disabled.

    Hi Paul;

    Thanks for your reply - you are right, the ICON changes to red. I never noticed that before.

    Thanks again - have a great week!
