off topic.....HELP

    not sure wher ot post this but you lads seem to be sharp so......


    when i try to copy something to my D:\ drive, it says "not accessible", but when i put my windows or my easy cd creator disk in it reads it and opens a window......
    when i put a blank disk in nothing happens........
    also i copied my consime and console.dl files from my XP disk back on my puter.....didn't correct it

    You might want to check and make sure the drive is not set to read only. If it is not then you can always do a repair with your xp disc as long as it is an install disc and not a restore disc. I have used this function in xp pro and didn't loose any info at all.
