OE 6 Yikes!

    All of a sudden my email when I click send receive(or on startup) starts the blue bar about halfway. It takes over a minute for it to complete, with or without new mail.
    Receiving new messages used to go in an instant. I deleted all I could find of MSN Messenger as I was told it could be the problem. What do you know about this problem? Greatly appreciate help.
