Odd Music Playback

I use both foobar and Medi Player; however recently, both have been experiencing the following problem:

Whilst playing a song, they randomly just jam for a second, as the sound repeats itslelf, then carry on as normal. I have mointored my prcoesses whilst it is doing this, but nothing is changing - its just seems to do it, its not that another cpu usage of another process is kicking in or anything - so, what could it be?

I just ran file mon - is it normal for explorer to be doing all this. All that was happneing was that I was idle listening to mp3 on media player, here is a sample from that time:

The same problem happens with video files too. Its plays slow, and the sounds goes jittery. I have also noticed that when the problems occurs, i have 2 explorer.exe running?

well im definatly not an expert, but, i think ive heard that nod/antivirus can do that. i dont really know, you could try disabling your AV and seeing if the problem goes, im only answering because you sound desparate maybe someone else will know more
