Please could you give me some advice on item, which I think may be a malicious script acquired via a browser hijacker. When I boot up I see a small square to the left of my screen just above start, which says "ODBC.HTA". I run McAffee virus scan continuously, and it catches this "odbc.hta" several times every day. It calls it "suspicious scripting activity" and says the file path is C:\WINDOWS\ODBC.HTA It offers me the chance to stop the activity on each occasion, but not to take any other action. Virus scans do not show my machine to be infected with any virus, but when I purchased McAffee Spyware for the first time, it caught 13 adwares!! I am running Windows XP and my system is running very slowly. Thank you for your help.
