    Its horses for courses. Speaking personally, I don't much worry about being tracked on the internet by advertisers as I visit webpages, and adverts on the site (unless they are intrusive). However, in the other regions of the web I really, really want to know whats going on.

    Well, maybe, if you take into account the other OA features. It depends what you are trying to achieve. OA is designed to stop mum getting infected with spyware/trojans. It's not really designed to stop her from anything else.

    A bit of both. Email and web are the two vectors we care about (exploits in both) - even simplistic things like our pop/imap mail filter will check for double extension exes - trivial, yes - but catches stuff.
