Another program that already does what we can do manually. If you want to remove microsoft apps there are better ways

Most of the ways I have seen involve PowerShell and/or registry scripts. This looks to be very easy to use for the folks that are not computer enthusiasts and it appears to be free. Tools like this mean 1 less phone call from our PC illiterate relatives. :thumb:

I agree with @xxJackxx . It's a program you and me don't need, but those who are less tech-savvy will always prefer an easy-to-use app to using PowerShell, registry hacks etc.

So, is it really useful for non-geeks?
If all it does is remove apps, that should be a no brainer even for non-geeks like me.

Think i had this program a while back.
If they're the same company, they sent emails promoting their Disk Defrag app that would even work for SSDs. Now, everyone knows SSDs don't need defrag programs.

It would be easier as you can deal with them all at once graphically, and it also seems to allow you to deal with apps that normally cannot be removed. That said, I have not actually tried to do so.

Or you can simply use a bat file, simpler and elegant, no need to download an entire program

It's even faster, for example I upload the bat file, shorten the download link (though I guess you can do the same for the program download link, but there's new versions etc.), and when they download it they just double click the bat file. Can't be simpler than this. And if they can google the program (they can't google the bat file cuz it's a custom made one not an official thing that will show up in google search) then they are already literate enough to not need the program, which eliminates the advantage of "hey just download this program" vs "you need to go to this specific link with bat file that I've uploaded"

Bat files can do pretty much anything, any change in Windows 10 settings, there's a registry key / value for it, don't require downloading anything other than one bat file which can have all your tweaks and settings and stuff in it, and takes a lot less time to run than downloading (and installing if no portable version) a separate program for each thing you need to change, like removing windows apps, that's just one thing

The program is just a simple .exe, no installation required. It's not even an option. If a batch file works for you then by all means use it. But the work required to make that batch file will by all means be more difficult and time consuming than running this .exe, finding the apps in the list, and selecting to remove them. For an end user, maybe not, as long as you customized it for them correctly.

Average Joe doesn't care of apps being there or not. If they don't need, they don't use, they are not looking to uninstall them. In fact it is often the opposite, they add more than they should.

This tool is obviously oriented to those who like to tweak but don't possess the skills to do it manually.

Why bother doing it manually when this tool can do it for you? I can certainly do it manually but if this free tool can take care of it for me, I am all for it.

I ran it. What I couldn't uninstall manually I removed with CCleaner, so nothing for this program to do. Nice that I can reinstall some if I ever choose to do so.

That means they haven't been completely uninstalled, cuz if they are you can't restore them. What I imagine the program did is run the ****** powershell stuff

Clearly you haven't tried the program. In a way, it's pretty similar to PatchMyPC, in that you can select applications from the list and have have them installed, if that is what you want.

I highly doubt any app is ever going to be installed again on my PC, likely what the program does is, again, use powershell scripts or it has its own backups of the apps. Which is fine if the apps were uninstalled using the program itself, but not if they were completely uninstalled
