    mack_guy911,
    Do you mean you are not using KMS (kernel mode setting) and have used the 'nomodeset' boot parameter ? - just curious because you mention 'user mode'

    I know this isn't the solution you want but just use the nouveau driver if you're not interested in 3D stuff. It saves a whole lot of messing around.
    2D perfromance with nouveau was satisfactory when I used an old nvidia card. The only experience I have of trying to get the propriety driver running in Fedora resulted in X crashing and me not having a clue how to fix it. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

    Have you tried autoten or easylife?

    thanks wilbertnl but rdblacklist=nouveau is already set also mode set =0

    i remove

    yum remove kmod nvidia

    and yum remove xorg-x11-drv-nouveau as well but still getting nvidia driver causing problem

    now what i am going to do is roll back then set it again

    What happens when you add the nomodeset boot parameter ? It deactivates mode setting in the kernel and uses X.org.

    On booting when you get grub menu, press 'e' to edit. On the "linux" line, add "nomodeset". It is on the same line as you may have "quiet splash".
    CTRL-x to boot.

    If it works make the change permanent - edit /etc/default/grub as follows:-

    GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash nomodeset"

    Then update grub.

    If it doesn't work no harm done.

    I always install nvidia in Fedora with akmod and it has never given me issues. Only recently there was a snafu involving rpm fusion not being updated with the latest kernel dev from Fedora. Sadly Fedora's answer was that you should be using open source drivers in the first place.
