    Dear all,

we use Acronis True Image Server 9.1 to online backup W2k3 DC's.
So far, Acronis does a good job.

In Addition to Acronis we would like to run scheduled NTBackup jobs to save the system state. Unfortunately it does not work anymore after the installation of Acronis 9.1.

It seems that the Acronis VVS Provider replaced something of the original MS VSS. So far the MS VSS does not start when running ntbackup and hangs.

Any help would really be appreciated.

    Regards,
    Volker Kalthaus

Really no one at Acronis has experiences with this problem?

I've uninstalled Acronis 9.1 from the Windows2003 server and ntbackup works fine again; then I installed Acronis again and ntbackup stopped working.

There must be a general problem.
    So please give support.

    Thanks,
    Volker

    Hello Volker,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

We are very sorry for the delay with the response.

Please be aware that the issue with NT Backup not working properly on the computer having Acronis True Image 9.1 Sever for Windows installed is known. It has already been investigated and fixed. The fix is implemented in builds 3594 and higher.

According to the above, firstly, please make sure that you use the latest build of Acronis True Image 9.1 Server for Windows available for downloading in the Product Updates section of your account at Acronis web site.

You can find the full version name and build number by going to Help -> About... menu in the main program window.

To get access to updates you should create an account then log in and use your serial number to register the software.

Please uninstall any previously installed build by following Start -> Settings -> Control Panel -> Add or Remove Programs -> Acronis True Image, prior to installing the latest build.

Note that you should create new Bootable Rescue CD after installing the update.

If the problem still persists with the latest build of Acronis True Image 9.1 Server for Windows then please download the latest version of Acronis drivers, install it with disabled logging and see the result.

Please let us know if that does not help either. We'll certainly provide you with the further instructions in this case.

    Thank you.
