    Hi people

    I had sceduled a task to perform an incremental image but it did not

    work out. In fact, I was not even told that if failed .

    How come ?

    Am I supposed to have the program running opened all the time?

    I thought it would work with a flashing icon in the system tray telling me
    to start the program because it was time to perform the sceduled tasko_O

    Best Regards

    Hello iceb,

    Thank you for choosing Acronis True Image (http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/products/trueimage/).

    We are really sorry for the inconveniences.

    The program should have worked in the way you thought and it is not normal that the back up was not created. Please wait for the problem appers once again and do the following:

    - Download the http://www.acronis.com/files/support/schedmgr.exe file;
    - Start the Command Prompt from Start -> Programs -> Accessories menu;
    - Run the following command in the folder you saved the file to:

    schedmgr get report > schedreport.txt

    - In the Acronis True Image main screen navigate to "Tools" -> "Show Log"
    - Highlight the appropriate log entry and click on the diskette picture and save the log file;
    - Send the created schedreport.txt and log files to support@acronis.com along with the link to this thread.

    Thank you.

    I know why it did not work.

    I have an external harddisk which is not turned on all the time(only

    is turned on when I back up)

    This might have created an error .

    Still is there a notifier that flashes in the system tray when a

    task is going to be performed or har failed ?

    Or do I have to manully open my program everyday to

    check if something is up?

    Best Regards

    Hello iceb,

    When the task is being processing you will see Acronis True Image icon in the right bottom corner of the screen (near the date and clock). Also all the operation results are reflected in logs that are easy to read without special knowledge.

    Thank you.
