While attempting to setup an e-mail notification in TI WS 9.1 (latest build), I cannot proceed past the Test.

I enter the external e-mail address where the notification is to be sent, and then the Outgoing SMTP server and port number. I also add the correct Username and Password to access the server.

The Test has never completed, so I assume the SMTP server must be local o_O

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

Are you using Outlook connected into an Exchange server by any chance?

At that location, we're simply using the ISP's server.

Edit: I've tried using two different servers (AT&T/AOL). I disabled the firewall, still not sending.

    Hello *Spawn*,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Remote Workstation Disk Backup Software.

We are sorry for delayed response.

Please make sure SMPT server you use does not require SSL, as it's not supported by Acronis True Image.

Please also try enclosing the e-mail address with brackets like this: <name@mail.com>

    Thank you.

Enclosing the email address <name@bellsouth.net> didn't solve the issue, and the SMTP server does not require SSL.

Is your AV or Firewall software trapping the emails?

I had this happen with AVG v7.5.
