notepad

    HI
    got a problem. After i start computer ,firewall icon appears,then antivirus ,etc .
    Problem is, then notepad opens ,and this has never happened before ,
    After every boot ,desktop.ini notepad opens .In it it says [.ShellClassInfo]

    LocalizedResourceName=@%SystemRoot%\system32\shell32.dll,-21787
    can anyone help .

    Do you have a desktop.ini in your Start / Programs / Startup folder?

    yes but i didnt have before . Can you tell me why its there.How do i get rid.
    Also noticed its in Control panel admin-tools. ,and it wasnt there also

    For an explanation of desktop.ini see this link

    Usually desktop.ini surfaces when you alter explorer folder settings to show hidden files. I never experienced any problems removing desktop.ini files, unless of course you actually use desktop.ini to customize your desktop.
