    Hello,

NOD32 v2.5 is an old version. Have you considered updating to NOD32 v2.70.39 or ESET NOD32 Antivirus v3.0?

    Regards,

    Aryeh Goretsky

Thank you for your suggestion and I have just downloaded a trial version 3.0.667.0 and it has a defination 3312 to 20080731.
It tells me that it is up to date although today is August 5 2008.
    Does this seem OK.
I will buy a full copy if this works and keeps updating

Did you uninstall the v2 trial version before installing 3.0.667? If you installed it over the older version and had a different server than automatic selection selected, the new version will use these settings and won't update.

I uninstalled ver 3 and this time I deleted the C:\Program Files\NOD folder. I then rebooted and reinstalled it and it seems to be working now with the definations 3326 20080804.
So thank you for your assistance

Thank you for sharing, we appreciate it. Perhaps there was a problem updating update.ver for some unknown reason, hence the program refused to update. Should someone come across the same problem, we'd need to get the content of the updfiles folder as well as the exported ESET registry key which would help us a lot in pinpointing the issue.
