Not sure what this means or why it started

    A few months back I started noticing that in some places in articles,blogs,websites etc, there would be scattered in a few places between text, a small black diamond with a ? in the middle. Has anyone seen or know what this is and why it started?

    Hi T_Durden!

    I have seen the "Black" diamond as well, only that my diamond is (Blue),
    on some sites Yes. I usually see it when some Flash content/banner/ads etc... Crashes. So nothing to worry about;)

    Though, maybe the Black diamond that you see shows it self when something else other than Flash Crashes. I'm not sure:doubt:

    I am sure it's font substitution:-
    PS. Web Browsers are also capable of font substitution. I reckon most of us have seen this from time to time.

    Thank you both very much. I had never started seeing it until this past few months so i wasnt sure if it was something to worry about or not.
