Some times I'm finding that my program does not update automatically to the latest Virus definition updates.

I have scheduled to auto update on PC startup, and at 10min intervals.

ESS 4.2.35.0 has just failed on both and after 20mins of my pc being started i had to select manual update to get the program to update which it then proceeded to do from definition 4949 to 4952.

Again i have cleared the update cache but this problem does seem to keep coming back now and again.

Im using Windows Vista 32Bit Ultimate

Updates are not run in less than 1-hour intervals.

    Thats not been very helpful!

I advised there is 2 schedule's to update on

Automatic update when computer is started, "every time computer starts"
Regular Automatic Update, task will be run repeatedly every 10 minutes (weather this defaults to a minimum of 1 hour is neither here or there for my temperamental problem)

When the above works, an update is the first thing that happens when my pc is booted up.

As a boot up and more than 10mins passed both of the above have failed!

I would like something clarified here now, if i only had 1 schedule "Regular Automatic Update" set for 10 mins, when i boot my pc will it check in 10 mins or 1 hour ?

If as i suspect it will check in 10 mins then as said above, both have failed

Has just happened again this morning, program hasn't updated!

Just checked the schedule for it to state it has "last run" both schedule's 5 mins ago and yet program is saying virus definition 4952 when in fact were now at 4954!

I'd strongly recommend leaving the default settings (ie. 1 hour interval for updates). I for one haven't tested it with such small intervals as you, but the program should update in 1-hour intervals though.
