Didn't know about this feature, will check it out and report back.

You can, but there is a bug in uBlock which causes it to break certain sites while the old NoScript did not. The best example is google.com, when you disable scripts on this site, the page isn't displayed correctly with uBlock, but with NS it just switches to the old skool Google Search.

Yeah I think this is because uBO ignores noscript tags? uMatrix by the same developer could do it though and has the ability to spoof noscript tags globally or per site. Works great in combination with uBO. Would definitely recommend for those who like lots of control.

I have never understood this problem with uBlock, what exactly do you mean with "ignores noscript tags"? Because even when you run uBlock without NoScript you still have this problem. BTW, I couldn't check out the latest NoScript because Firefox 62 refuses to run correctly with Sandboxie.

Thanks JR. I'm not a member there. ;)

I just sent an email to the dev so hopefully he can look into it. For now I've reinstalled the previous version.

I have checked out the latest version and this old feature indeed doesn't work, so it's goodbye to NS at least on the newest Firefox, what a shame. I did notice the developer has added a white-list in order to keep site breakage to a minimum, but in practice it will still break a lot.

NoScript Classic has been updated to fix a vulnerability that allows full bypass of Tor Browser older than v8.0, so it might also bypass the standard pre-quantum Firefox(though it is not mentioned.)(Also note that the support for NoScript Classic will stop this month, because with FF ESR v52 becoming EOL, there is no longer a secure pre-quantum Firefox version.)
