I love Noscript. Once you get your head around it there aren't issues. I like the fact it blocks a lot of stuff out of the gate. Not hard to get around that

I tried for a short a while and so far uBlock origin seems more user-friendly in regards with script blocking.

For NoScript to start making sense, to click on your head, testing it/using it for a short while is not enough. For me, it took about 6 months, after that, using the program became as easy as drinking water.

I know how it works. And it makes sense but so far I see uBlock Origin as more user-friendly.

I have no problem with that. But so you know, NoScript can be easy. It can be set and forget. If you learn how to use it properly, to set it up properly, you should be able to go hours, perhaps days with minimal interaction with the program. For the bulk of sites that I visit daily or regularly, I dont have to do anything with NoScript for the sites to work. I visit the sites, and they work.

Anyway, you like UBO, I think thats great. I like NoScript better. I love choices. The more choices, the better.

The thing is, it doesn't make sense to block scripts on a global level. It will require too much fine tuning in order for it to never break stuff. You must also remember that browsers have become a lot safer, so no need to block most scripts.

It does make sense to block scripts related to ads and trackers, and that's exactly what tools like uBlock, Ghostery and Privacy Badger do. They will protect against being tracked and against malvertising. Not to forget, they will speed up page loading, without breaking stuff most of the time.

Blocking scripts is not about security - it's about peace and quiet - instead of waiting for useless content to load, you just get the text.

Exactly, and you don't necessarily need NoScript for this. I tried NoScript on a bunch a sites, and they all malfunctioned. I really don't have the time to fine tune stuff.
