NoScript 10 + New Version Releases

it's already November 18 and Noscript 10 is still not yet available for Firefox 57.

just wait until the start of next week or the Thanksgiving holidays for the new version of Noscript to be released for Firefox 57. the creator of Noscript is working very hard to make it work correctly with the new version of Firefox, so it will take some time.

 

I'm getting impatient. The web is a mess without NoScript.

 

I find ublock origin to be more comprehensive.Noscript does not have adblocking functions.

 

Bad comment. NoScript is not an adblocker but blocks most ads. I haven't used an adblocker for two months now, I only see a few ads. I decided to get rid of the adblocker and use only NoScript, mainly because NoScript handles most ads as well as the security that it provides. And also because ABP and UBO were having glitches. I dont like glitches. I also get a high out using a lesser amount of extensions, plugins or programs. And thats exactly what I got. A win situation, were I didnt lose nothing for uninstalling the adblocker.

I am waiting patiently. I haven't updated in my real system to Firefox 57 yet. As far as me, NoScript comes first, Firefox after. After Giorgio releases NoScript 10, I ll update to 57.

I've tried using uBO but I just can't get my head around it. I do have it installed in FF, Chrome and Edge on all machines but I disabled the Advanced settings.

I've asked before rhetorically*, what the hell a noop is? Anyway, I'll be happy again when NoScript gets updated.

*Meaning I'm not really interested any more in trying to figure it out.

Wow, it sure looks different. It might take me some time to get used to it.

Good thing that it looks like my white / black lists are still intact or I might be lost.

Possibly a silly question but how do we temporarily allow scripts?

 

I'm using "no scipt lite suite" and it's works fine too....very similar like noscript

 

OK, I think I've got it now. You click the NoScript icon as normal, then click Allow Trusted, then you will see a clock icon where you can click for allowing temporarily.

 

After seeing the NoScript announcement, I updated to Firefox 57, on its own, NoScript updated automatically to the new version and eliminated the old one without me doing anything. The process worked out flawlessly.

I like the way the Black list and White list are displayed. I have a very large Black list, is a lot easier now to check it out. Before, you couldn't see it via UI. As far as I can tell, NoScript imported both lists perfectly. All things look very good so far on my end.

I dont think theres a Temporarily allow all scripts button. I dont see the clock, my eyes are getting old, can you post a picture. Some of the things that NoScript did in the past will be brought back in the future as Firefox introduces the conditions to be ported.
